SOGH Awards
SOGH National Outstanding Resident of the Year Award
The Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists invites you to participate in our fourth annual award for Outstanding Resident of the Year. This should be a PGY-2 or PGY-3 resident who has demonstrated a commitment to improving inpatient Obstetrics and emergency Gynecology care. They should demonstrate exceptional patient care skills and advocacy and may be participating in quality and safety initiatives or research projects in this area.
We know many residents have not chosen a career path at this stage in their training. It is neither a requirement nor expectation for this award that the resident is planning to become an OB/GYN Hospitalist, though of course they are welcome to do so!
Feel free to choose the recipient based on your local awards decision-making process. We have included an editable template for the SOGH certificate for this award, which you can complete with your recipient’s name. You are welcome to present the certificate as you see fit, either at graduation or another venue.
You are also invited to submit the name of your recipient for the National SOGH Outstanding Resident of the Year. Please include a brief description of the resident’s qualifications (no more than 300 words) by the deadline of April 30, 2025. One national winner will be chosen, and you will be notified by May 16, 2025. The winner will receive a certificate, free registration to an upcoming Annual Clinical Meeting of the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists, and a $500 cash award.
Please submit your nominations for the SOGH National Outstanding Resident Award via this link.
