Who are our members?
Our members include physicians, midwives, nurses, physician assistants, residents, fellows, allied healthcare professionals and non-healthcare providers who have an interest in obstetrical-gynecological hospital care and a desire to support the goals of our organization.

Types of Membership:
Full Membership: $395
For eligibility as a Full Member of the Society, an individual must be an OB/GYN Physician with an active medical license. Full Members shall have the right to vote in Society matters and hold elective Office if determined eligible by current policy.
OB/GYN Fellow Members: $150
For eligibility as a Fellow Member, one must currently hold an OB/GYN Physician Fellowship position that is aligned with current SOGH policy. Following completion of their Fellowship, these members shall move to Full Membership. Fellow Members shall have the right to vote in Society matters.
Associate Membership: $175
For eligibility as an Associate Member in the Society an individual must be a licensed non-OB/GYN physician, certified nurse midwife, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant with an interest in obstetrics and gynecology, hospital care, and/or participates in the management of obstetrical-gynecological hospitalized patients. Associate Members shall not vote in Society matters nor hold elective office.
Trainee Membership: Complimentary
For eligibility as a Trainee Member, an individual must be a resident physician, medical student, or other professional in training that have an interest in OB/GYN hospital care. Trainee Members shall not be subject to annual dues and may not vote in Society matters nor hold elective office.
Affiliate Membership: $200
For eligibility as an Affiliate Member an individual must be a non- health-care provider (i.e. layperson, bioethicist, scientist, business person) who has expressed an interest in obstetrical/gynecological hospital care and wishes to support the goals of the Society. Affiliate members shall not vote in Society matters no hold elected office.
Retired Member: $50
For eligibility as a Retired Member, one must have been a member in good standing of SOGH for at least 10 years and has reached the age of 55. Such members shall be retired from all clinical, academic, and industry-related work. Retired Members shall not be subject to annual dues and may not vote in Society matters nor hold elected office.
Honorary Membership: Complimentary
For eligibility as an Honorary Member, one must have made an outstanding contribution to the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Honorary members shall be invited into such category by SOGH leadership according to current policy. Honorary Members shall not be subject to annual dues and may not vote in Society matters nor hold elected office.
*Annual dues and profile renewal: In order to maintain continuous membership and remain in-good-standing, all members are required to pay dues and/or renew their memberships annually. Dues may not be ‘skipped’ if the member chooses not to take advantage of the member benefits that year. Missed years will require back-payment of dues or re-application for membership following the Society’s member application process.
