NOCTURNIST ACADEMIC GENERALIST FACULTY POSITION – OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY

The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking an incumbent that will contribute actively to the climate of diversity & inclusivity. We invite applications for an open rank, open track full-time Nocturnist faculty position in Obstetrics and Gynecology. UNM’s Academic Generalist Division has a busy clinical practice, and is active in research and education.

The successful incumbent must meet the listed minimum requirements and provide a current curriculum vitae at the time of application and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. This position offers a competitive compensation (salary commensurate with experience) and benefits package to include health, professional liability and disability insurance, relocation support, retirement plan, and CME support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • D. or D.O. degree or equivalent
  • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in NM, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching students and residents
  • Clinical skills and scholarly activity
  • Experience working within a managed care environment
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience or interest in research activity and career development
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
