Ob/Gyn Hospitalist; Senior Instructor-Professor
Job Summary:
The Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an opening for one (1) OBGYN Hospitalists at the faculty rank of Senior Instructor or higher. The FTE for each position will be at 0.7 FTE.
Job Responsibilities:
Successful candidates must demonstrate competency obtaining patient histories, physical examination, and the assessment and development of appropriate plans of medical and surgical care in the OBGYN clinical setting. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, with primary care providers, specialists, and team members to meet the comprehensive needs of patients.
Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical patient care
- Training residents to provide evidence-based OBGYN care
- Treating and managing high acuity patient volumes on Labor and Delivery and the Operating Room
Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching medical students and residents
- Simulation training
- Research and/or Quality Improvement
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in the greater Aurora area, Colorado.

Required Qualifications: Senior Instructor
- Board-eligible OBGYN, Colorado Medical License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Meets criteria for Senior Instructor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications: Senior Instructor
- One (1) year of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency
- Experience as a clinical educator
Required Qualifications: Assistant Professor
- Board-certified OBGYN, Colorado Medical License
- 2-4 years of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Meets criteria for Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications: Assistant Professor
- Completion of an OBGYN Hospitalist fellowship
- Experience as a clinical educator
Required Qualifications: Associate Professor
- Board-certified OBGYN, Colorado Medical License
- 5-7 years of clinical OBGYN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Meets criteria for Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications: Associate Professor
- Completion of an OBGYN Hospitalist fellowship
- Experience as a clinical educator
Required Qualifications: Professor
- Board-certified OBGYN, Colorado Medical license
- Ten (10) years of clinical OBGYN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in clinical operations
- Experience as a clinical educator
- Meets criteria for Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications: Professor
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in an academic medical center

Anticipated Pay Range:
The hiring range for this position has been established as:
Senior Instructor: $131,220-$243,000
Assistant Professor: $135,000-$250,000
Associate Professor: $152,820-$283,000
Professor: $176,040-$326,000
The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
