Current Opportunities
Sacramento – OB/GYN Hospitalist
Join Sutter Medical Group’s innovative and growing OB/GYN Hospitalist Program in Sacramento. The program provides a highly collaborative environment with three in-house OB/GYN hospitalists on shift 24/7 and a Certified Nurse Midwife on duty at all times.
Hospitalists manage births in partnership with certified nurse midwives, evaluate patients in OBED/triage, manage unassigned patients, perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries, and collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine on high-risk antepartum care.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with guaranteed 12-hour shifts and day and night scheduling. The full-time position includes competitive compensation, productivity incentives, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, residency stipend opportunities, a forgivable loan program, and PSLF eligibility.
Sacramento – Per Diem OB/GYN Hospitalist
For physicians seeking flexibility, Sutter Medical Group also offers per diem opportunities within the Sacramento OB/GYN Hospitalist Program.
Per diem physicians work within the same collaborative model, with three OB/GYN hospitalists in-house 24/7, a Certified Nurse Midwife always on duty, and access to Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Gynecologic Oncology specialists.
Per diem scheduling includes guaranteed 12-hour day and night shifts, with a nighttime differential.
Davis – OB/GYN Hospitalist
Join Sutter Medical Group at Sutter Davis Hospital, a community hospital serving Davis and surrounding Yolo County communities.
The Davis program offers a uniquely collaborative model with one OB/GYN hospitalist and one Certified Nurse Midwife working as an integrated team to provide continuous 24/7 coverage. Physicians manage labor and delivery, provide OB/GYN triage and emergency coverage, perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries, and collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists at Sutter Sacramento for high-risk consultations and transfers.
The position offers 24-hour shifts and a predictable schedule in a supportive community-hospital environment.

Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active and unrestricted California medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current DEA license where required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Compensation: Competitive compensation ranging from $213-$245 per hour for per diem opportunities and $400,000-$460,000 annually for employed opportunities, depending on position and schedule. Additional incentives may apply.
