The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. We currently have the following opportunities:

OB/GYN HOSPITALISTS

Opening in Roseville, Santa Rosa, and Vacaville, California

• Roseville: We are a collaborative OB team of hospitalists/hybrids (hospital and office work)/generalists (hospital/MIGS and office work), and Nurse midwives. LD shifts are 12 hours. Hospitalists will care for patients in ED, Labor and Delivery/postpartum, and cross cover for all hospitalized OB/GYN patients. They will conduct inpatient consults as well as answer questions from Clinics or the Call Center. Hospitalists will work as a team with fellow MDs and CNM’s on L&D duties and assist with antepartum testing. All shifts are with fellow physicians. Hospitalists are expected to be the primary surgeon on high number c-sections and assist fellow OB/GYN MD on all surgical cases. They are also responsible for covering other hospitalist inboxes, secure messages, results, and cosigning CNM orders and evaluations. They support postpartum rounds.  Centering experience is a plus. Hospitalists are expected to be leaders on labor and delivery. They provide obstetric expertise and psychological safety to their team and LD staff. They are highly valued and integrated into our larger Ob/GYN physician team.

• Santa Rosa: We are seeking an OB Hospitalist to join our team in Santa Rosa, CA. Schedule: 32 hours per week. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and some consecutive nights. Must be willing to develop and work on down-time projects. Must have strong patient satisfaction skills. Our unit has 8 Labor & Delivery rooms, 2 triage beds, 2 ORs, and a 20-bed postpartum unit. The volume includes <200 births/month. We have a Level 2 NICU, one Perinatologist on staff, and in-house Anesthesia, and CRNAs 24/7. We have a robust CNM program in-house 24/7. We offer teaching opportunities with medical students from Touro and Family Medicine residents.
• Vacaville: We are seeking a Hospitalist to join our team in Vacaville, CA. Schedule: 36 hours per week, would work three night shifts (7:30 pm -7:30 am) per week covering a combination of both Vallejo and Vacaville hospitals. This would not include any outpatient clinic, but does include coverage of gyn ER, minor gyn procedures that come in through the ER (D&C) and rounding on both OB and GYN hospitalized patients. Vacaville and surrounding Solano County offer great weather and affordable housing on larger lots than traditionally seen in the Bay Area. One can even build their own home/ranch in our community! KP Vacaville is uniquely positioned between the Greater Sacramento Area and the Bay Area, providing for an easy commute. KP Vacaville has easy access to fun and exciting adventures in the Bay Area, Napa Valley, Sacramento, and Tahoe area while providing a quieter, “small town feel.” Vacaville public schools are diverse and of good quality. Nearby, Vanden High School has a strong 8 out of 10 ranking. We have a lot of great restaurants and local shopping, including the Vacaville Premium Outlets and the Caymus-Suisun Winery in Fairfield. KP Vacaville is Solano County’s Level 2 Trauma Center, and we have fantastic working relationships with our trauma surgery colleagues. KP Vacaville has a newly opened level 2 Nursery. KP Vacaville has a collaborative group of midwives who provide excellent obstetrical care in the office and in labor and delivery. KP Vacaville has a robust Maternal Fetal Medicine service and REI and Urogynecology services; these subspecialists provide tremendous practice support. KP Vacaville is part of the larger Napa Solano Area family, where we have a collaborative and collegial working environment and excellent partnerships with our leadership teams.

Full-time annual salary range is $339,539 to $350,040 plus additional potential incentives up to $61,210*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
